1. What Helpulet is
Helpulet helps university students in Hungary connect with dorm mates and nearby students: ask for help, run errands together, and hang out. It is a community platform — not a marketplace, courier or emergency service.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up you confirm this. One account per person; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
3. Your content
You own what you post. Posts expire automatically (max 24 hours) and are then deleted. You choose each post’s visibility: your dorm only, or public (visible in Explore and to logged-out visitors). Don’t post other people’s personal data, illegal content, harassment, hate speech, spam, or adult content.
4. Behaviour & moderation
Be decent — this is your dorm, not an anonymous forum. We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these terms. You can report any post or message in the app; reports are reviewed by moderators. Blocking someone hides you both from each other everywhere in the app.
5. Meeting in real life
Helpulet connects students, but meetings happen at your own judgement and risk. Use common sense: meet in common areas, don’t share your room number publicly, and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable.
6. Privacy
How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy. Short version: data lives on Google Firebase (EU rules apply), chats are end-to-end encrypted where possible, posts auto-delete after expiry, and you can export or permanently delete your account anytime in Settings.
7. Liability
Helpulet is provided “as is”, free of charge, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for user content, user behaviour, or anything that happens at in-person meetings arranged through the platform.
8. Termination
You can delete your account anytime (Settings → Delete account) — it permanently removes your profile, posts, chats and sign-in. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or the law.
9. Changes & contact
We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be announced in the app. Questions or notices: contact the operator via the address published on helpulet.com.
